Valentine's Day

Valentine's was crazy busy this year. I had to prepare a Valentine craft for Addi's class, which took quite awhile. Then getting the kids Valentine's all ready to go for school. Before I knew it, it was 9:00pm the night before Valentine's and I had already been up for almost 24hrs. straight. So I took a personal day at work. Yay! I was able to have a full night's sleep and then wake up and finish what I needed to, plus I had enough time and energy to make a nice family dinner! Tim sent me roses with a card that said, "I love you more than the Packers, Jazz and Dodgers combined." Yep, that's Tim for ya! Lol! I loved it! AND I love all four of my Valentine's more than anything!

We went bowling on Valentine's Day and the kid's loved it, especially Hally. After everyone's turn she would say, "Go dad!" or "Go mom!" and then give everyone a high five. After her turn she would do a little dance on the way back. She knows she's good. Besides the bumpers, the kids did it all by themselves and I'm tellin' ya, Tim and I weren't taking it easy so the kids could win. Next time I will take my camera.

VALENTINE'S DAY IDEA

This is what I gave my husband last year for Valentine's Day. I got the idea from a friend and I think it turned out so cute. Here is a list of supplies you will need:

• 4 strips of 11" x 5 1/2" card stock
• Cute Valentine paper
• Ribbon and other cute embellishments
• Glue
• Pictures of you and your significant other

Fold the card stock pieces in half. Glue the papers together in an accordion style. (It's important to lay it out before you start gluing.) You should have 5 surfaces to work with. Be creative and decorate however you want. On the third and fifth pages I made a pocket. The third pocket has a removable note that says, "10 reasons why I love you." In the fifth pocket you can put a gift card (I put Jazz tickets in this slot). When you are done it folds up nice and compact like this.
