TWILIGHT MOVIE

I went to the Twilight movie on Friday with a bunch of friends. It was SO much fun! I'll just say that the book was much better than the movie, obviously, but I still enjoyed the movie. Hopefully they will have more money on the next movie to make the special effects better.

PANTRY SECRETS BREAD CLASS

Last night I went to the most amazing class! It was a bread making class at a ladies house in Pleasant Grove. This lady and her daughter teach the class three times a week. You would me amazed at what they can do. Generally I am the type of person that would just rather buy it to save time, but I think I have changed my mind. They made it look so EASY! The only thing is, now I want a Bosch mixer. The bread recipe makes four loaves of bread, the same one recipe can be used for pizza crusts, rolls, breadsticks, braids (my personal favorite), tortillas, scones, etc., etc. The list goes on and on. Their bread recipe only takes a total of one hour to make from start to finish, this includes the raising time and cooking time!! You can save SO much money by doing this. They also teach some great tips on food storage. The class is $20 and they demonstrate how to make several different things, then you get to pick something to make yourself and take home. I would recommend this class to anyone! I also bought their DVD that shows you how to make everything. I DID IT!

Today was my talk and I am so glad that it's over and done with. It actually went better than I thought, but I hope I don't have to do it again for a long, long time. Thank you everyone for your wonderful comments on how to give a talk. They really did help me. My favorite was from my friends Annie, and although I didn't use her idea, it sure did make me laugh. She said that she always likes to start her talks with, "Whenever I speak my mouth gets dry and my feet sweat, so if I start drinking from my shoe, it's just cause I'm thirsty." She said that she doesn't really use that when she speaks, but I think it would definitely get people's attention if she did.

HELP!

I need your help. This Sunday I have to speak in church and honestly, I haven't a clue how to do it. I haven't spoken in church since I was in young women's nearly 10 years ago. My topic is Mosiah 18, it's on baptism, so if you have any pointers or ideas, please, please let me know. How do you start a talk? How do you make it interesting? Any thoughts on the covenants you made when you were baptized? Any cool baptism stories? Better yet, does anyone just want to write my talk for me? (Price will be negotiated.):) I know there are a lot of professional, amazing speakers out there.... you know who you are.... come on, let me in on the secret to delivering a wonderful talk!!

"MUST-HAVE" MONDAY

Everyone has a drink of choice, right? This is mine, ice cold Dr. Pepper. I have quit drinking it so much and I don't keep it on hand because I know it's not good for me, but every once in awhile it's a "must-have."

TRICK-OR-TREAT

Halloween is so much fun when you have little kids to dress up. It's so much fun to see the excitement on their faces as they get their costumes on. Addi was "Cindallela" (Cinderella) and Hally was a "faiwy"(fairy). Tim dressed up as a Cheesehead (Packer's Fan) and took the girls around while I stayed behind to answer the door. Living in a town home, we get TONS of trick-or-treaters because the kids can just go from door to door to door. We gave out over 300 pieces of candy! It was a lot of fun to see all of the kids.... and adults come around in their costumes. Now the "trick" is trying to get the kids to ration their "treats" so they don't eat them all in one day!
